Ferry Carrying 250 Capsizes During Storm

A river ferry carrying about 250 passengers capsized during a tropical storm in eastern Bangladesh and many were feared dead, police said. Few bodies were immediately recovered, but only about 50 people had swum ashore, a police official said.
The two-deck ferry sank in the Meghna River near the town of Chandpur, about 40 miles southeast of the capital, Dhaka.
