Typhoon Muifa Leaves 8 Dead, 61 Missing

At least eight people died and 61 went missing when a powerful typhoon lashed the northern Philippines, toppling trees, capsizing boats and damaging farmland, officials said.
Typhoon Muifa slammed into the Philippines over the weekend with gusts up to 87 mph.
The typhoon knocked over trees and electricity and telephone lines as it sliced through the Bicol region on the island of Luzon before blowing westward.
