Teen Killed as Street Race Ends in Crash

A teenage driver was killed early Wednesday and a 24-year-old driver was arrested after a street race in Reseda ended in a fiery crash, authorities said.
Aram Aleksanyan, 18, of Van Nuys was driving east on Victory Boulevard near Corbin Avenue about 12:30 a.m. when he began racing with Louis Rodgers of Reseda, police said.
Aleksanyan’s vehicle crashed into a tree and then a parked car, which burst into flames.
The fire spread to a second parked car and then to Aleksanyan’s vehicle, in which he was trapped, police said.
