Comcast’s Programming Costs Less Than Forecast

Comcast Corp. Chief Financial Officer John Alchin said the world’s largest cable-television operator would pay 5% to 6% more this year to carry TV channels such as TNT and ESPN. Philadelphia-based Comcast had forecast an increase of 8% to 10% at the beginning of this year, Alchin said.
Comcast shares rose 21 cents to $28.24 on Nasdaq.
