7 Firms Offer to Take Sunshine Canyon Waste

City officials received seven proposals Friday from firms offering landfills or transfer services for trash so that it might no longer have to be dumped in the Sunshine Canyon Landfill.
As part of an effort to end its use of the suburban landfill, the city Department of Public Works sought proposals for disposing of trash outside the city limits.
The proposals came from Consolidated Disposal Services, Sun Valley Paper Stock, Grand Teton Enterprises, Southern California Disposal, Culver City-Eco-logics, Waste Management Inc. and MDSI of L.A. Inc.
