Back with ‘Boy Friend’

Julie Andrews’ new career move has brought the stage and screen star back to one of her early theater successes: She’s directing the new national touring production of “The Boy Friend,” Sandy Wilson’s jazzy spoof of 1920s musicals. Andrews starred in the original 1954 Broadway production, playing the young heiress whose passion for a delivery boy leads to comical complications. A West Coast premiere.
