San Francisco Fed Names Chairman

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco named David K.Y. Tang, a partner at law firm Preston Gates & Ellis, as chairman of its nine-member board of directors.
The bank’s directors chose T. Gary Rogers, chairman and chief executive of Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Holdings Inc., as deputy chairman. Tang, 52, and Rogers, 63, are board members and begin their terms as officers Jan. 1.
Directors of the 12 regional Fed banks choose the presidents of the banks, subject to approval by the board of governors in Washington.
