Officials Say Low Risk of TB Exposure Found

Nearly 2,000 people may have been exposed to tuberculosis at four hospitals, county health officials said Wednesday.
The risk is considered “very low,” but those people have been notified and urged to get tested for the disease, which is treatable with antibiotics.
It is unusual to see tuberculosis cases concurrently at separate hospitals, but is not an indication of an outbreak, county health officials said.
People who have not received letters are not at risk.
Concerned residents can call health officials at (951) 358-5107.
