Now Bring Back the Angels’ Halo

Re “Angels to Be a Team of 2 Cities,” Jan. 5: I remember how hurt and betrayed I felt as a child in 1965 when my beloved Los Angeles Angels stripped Los Angeles from their name, and how much worse it felt the following April when they fled the City of the Angels in favor of far-off suburban Anaheim.

I still wish they’d come home to Los Angeles. (Maybe next year!) But at least the team has gotten its rightful name back, more or less.

And Mr. Moreno, I’d sure appreciate it if you brought back the caps with the halo on top.

Quite apart from the hubris exhibited by an Orange County sports organization, isn’t the name “Los Angeles Angels” glaringly redundant?
