The first bids to acquire parcels at the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station were received Friday and each was for the minimum asking price, according to a government website.
An anonymous bidder offered $125 million for a 920-acre parcel on the northwest corner of the base.
Another anonymous bid of $220 million was made for a 1,752-acre parcel on the east side. This section includes 11 acres leased to the Irvine Unified School District until 2016 and 26 acres that may be used for the homeless.
