Ex-Husband Is Arrested in Woman’s Death

The ex-husband of an El Segundo woman found dead in the trunk of her car in July was arrested Thursday at his El Segundo home and booked on suspicion of murder, police said.
Erwin Howard, 51, was held on $1 million bail in the death of real estate agent Julia “Deede” Keller, 54, whose body was found wrapped in a blanket in her Mercedes-Benz in downtown San Diego, eight days after she was last seen alive.
El Segundo police said charges would be filed against Howard today.
