Motorists were able to return to a main east-west thoroughfare Monday after crews worked through the weekend to repair a large sinkhole.
The county Public Works Department had closed Huntington Drive, between Rosemead and San Gabriel boulevards, on Wednesday after a broken flood control pipe gouged a 3-by-6-foot-wide hole in the street.
Emergency crews found a cavity beneath the pavement measuring 50 feet by 20 feet across and 10 feet deep.
