1 Killed, 1 Injured by Gunfire at Family Party

One man was killed and another injured when gunfire broke out at a family party in Placentia late Saturday, police said.
Officers responded about 11:45 p.m. to a house on the 1000 block of Wallgreen Street, Sgt. Gene Stuckenschneider said.
A large number of people were milling around when police arrived, Stuckenschneider said, and officers found Edgardo Mejia, 20, of Placentia and Hector Urias, 19, of Anaheim, who was wounded in the thigh.
Deputies said it appeared the gunmen had crashed the party.
