SAN FRANCISCO — Bobby Brown had 25 points and seven rebounds to help Cal State Fullerton beat San Francisco, 85-69, on Friday night in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament.
After shooting only 33.3% from the field in the first half, the Titans (21-10) made 12 of their first 14 attempts in the second and scored 57 points in the final 20 minutes to set up a second-round game at Georgetown.
Ralphy Holmes had 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Titans.
John Cox, who scored 27 points in the Dons’ opening-round win over Denver, missed nine of his first 10 shots and finished with 17 points.
San Francisco finished 17-14.
Fullerton, which beat Oregon State on the road in the opening round, has won two postseason tournament games for the first time since 1977-78.
