From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Park officials have closed several trails because of lightning-sparked fires.
Rangers said three blazes were started during thunderstorms that passed through the area last month. Officials were managing the fires to help burn underbrush that could fuel a future wildfire.
Closed trails include the Beehive Meadow trail above Hetch Hetchy; Laurel Lake trail between Miguel Meadows and Frog Creek; Vernon Lake trail to Laurel Lake; and a trail along Moraine Ridge below Jack Main Canyon to Vernon Lake.
