Schwarzenegger’s popularity slide

On the heels of a historic election that recalled Democrat Gray Davis, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger roared into 2004 with job approval ratings befitting his movie-star status. Early this year the Republican’s popularity began a decline reflected in opinion polls of registered voters* questioned by the Public Policy Institute of California, a private, nonpartisan organization.
