Family of Child Killed in Accident Wins Damages

A jury awarded more than $20 million Thursday to the parents of Elizabeth Dominguez, a 4-year-old killed when a city repair truck ran a red light and struck four pedestrians in the Mission District in 2003.
Elizabeth’s mother, Sylvia Dominguez, suffered a broken leg in the accident. Two others injured in the crash were awarded $7 million each.
