Long-Awaited Plan for Airport Approved

After a dozen years of seeking to balance private jet operations, propeller aircraft and other uses at Van Nuys Airport, the City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a land-use plan.
The Van Nuys Airport Citizens Advisory Council, with airport-area residents and airport tenants, devised the plan, which outlines where aviation, commercial and industrial operations will be located.
