From Times Wire Reports
Pope John Paul II’s final words in April were “Let me go to the house of the Father,” according to a new Vatican book that chronicles the last two months of his life.
Nearly all the information in the volume has already been divulged in official statements or in comments by close aides, such as his private secretary, Archbishop Stanislaw Dziwisz.
The volume, more than 200 pages, is a detailed reconstruction of John Paul’s last days. It is believed to be the first time the Vatican has published such an account.
