Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies are requesting the public’s help in locating an 11-year-old girl last seen Friday evening near a South Los Angeles park.
Crystal Ramos was last seen about 10 p.m. near the intersection of Firestone Boulevard and Maie Avenue with a man identified as Rafael Vasquez Garcia, 37, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
A witness saw Garcia, also known as “Smiley,” and the girl running from Washington Park toward Firestone Boulevard.
Though Garcia and Crystal know one another, detectives were continuing to investigate the precise nature of their relationship, said sheriff’s spokesman Carlos Lopez.
Crystal is described as 5 feet 2 and 125 pounds.
She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing gray jeans and a black tank top, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Anyone with information about Crystal or Garcia is asked to call the sheriff’s Century station at (323) 567-8121.
