‘FoxTrot’ to slow to a saunter

The “FoxTrot” comic strip, seen daily in The Times and more than 1,000 other newspapers, will appear on Sundays only beginning in January, Universal Press Syndicate said.
Bill Amend, who started the strip in 1988, said in a statement that he still loves cartooning but wants to slow the pace because “it’s time I got out of the house and tried some new things.”
The Times has not decided yet what will replace the strip.
