Let Lopez build it

Re “No words, no sign of a heart from developer,” column, Dec. 6

Again Steve Lopez has all the questions and none of the answers. It’s possible that some people agree with him that private investors should be forced to make housing available for those who can’t take care of themselves. But why not have half a million of his leftist friends donate $1,000 each? Lopez can then build a lot of housing, charge whatever rent he wants and solve the problem. I’ll bet Lopez’s response would be, “But I don’t know anything about running an apartment business.”
