Paris -- without breaking the bank

“MANY people would like to go to Paris but when they see the prices, they think they can’t afford it. I just was in Paris, stayed at a hotel recommended by the French Tourist Office. It had tourists from the U.S. and other places and was clean. The reception desk was helpful, spoke English and other languages. There is also an elevator. It is near the Montparnasse area of Paris and the exhibition center, and close to a Metro station.”
Doubles from $93.

Britain: Georgian on her mind
“I would like to recommend a charming Georgian period house (1800) set in the center of a traditional village near Malvern, Worcestershire, called Hanley Swan. Centrally located close to Worcester, Stratford and Warwick and the Cotswolds. It features lovely rooms, fabulous breakfasts and great hosts.”
Doubles from $138.
