Re “Family tie helps win FDA contract,” Dec. 19

I was shocked and appalled at the substance of this story. The way that Platinum Solutions Inc. secured the Food and Drug Administration contract had influence-peddling written all over it, and then to make matters worse, an internal investigation found no wrongdoing. The inspector general should conduct an investigation, and the Justice Department should look into any criminal wrongdoing. The manipulation by the FDA employee and her husband should not go unpunished.
