So many ways to celebrate the holidays

This show is just too big for only one host. More than 45 musical ensembles, choirs and dance troupes will perform Sunday at the 47th annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration at the Music Center. This six-hour extravaganza will feature six hosts: Broadway performer Sheryl Lee Ralph, humorist-performer Sandra Tsing Loh, actor Sean Michael Afable, L.A. aficionado-historian-entertainer Charles Phoenix, actor Jsu Garcia and comic actor Fred Willard. Two “American Idol” alumni -- Amanda Avila and Jon Peter Lewis -- will be featured on the show. Most of the groups performing are homegrown from throughout the county and reflect its geographic, cultural and ethnic diversity. Among those slated to perform are the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Mariachi Sol de Mexico, Viver Brasil Dance Company, the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, Jazz Antiqua, Vox Femina Los Angeles, Los Pinguos, Celtic Spring, Jazz Tap Ensemble and Mariachi Divas. The program will be shown live on KCET-TV.
Holiday Celebration, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Music Center, 135 N. Grand Ave., L.A. 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Free. (213) 972-3099; www.holidaycelebration.org.
