Wal-Mart Says Defective Bike Claims Rejected

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said it was cleared by a California jury of claims that it sold defective bicycles that caused injuries.
The jury decided that all allegations were unsubstantiated, Bentonville, Ark.-based Wal-Mart said.
The Marin County suit involved claims that the front wheels fell off mountain bikes sold at Wal-Mart, causing injuries to nine boys.
