The Pentagon cut $236 million, or less than 1%, of the $25 billion the Army planned to spend through 2011 on developing Boeing Co.’s Future Combat Systems, a service official said.
The cut is spread across the fiscal 2007-to-2011 spending plan, said Lt. Col. Thomas Collins, a spokesman for Army Secretary Francis J. Harvey. The plan will be released Feb. 6 as part of President Bush’s fiscal 2007 budget.
