Teen’s Shooting Death Investigated as Homicide

A man returning home found his teenage son dead from a gunshot wound, police said Sunday.
The death of Giancarlos V. Serafin, 17, is being treated as a homicide, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez. The father, who was not identified, returned from a Friday outing to his home in the 1100 block of North Whittier Street and found his son’s body about 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police asked anyone who may have seen the youth Friday night or early Saturday to call homicide detectives at (714) 765-1968.
