Ex-Disney Executive to Join DreamWorks Board

DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. named former Walt Disney Co. executive Michael J. Montgomery to its board.
Montgomery is president of Santa Monica-based investment bank Montgomery & Co. and leads the media and entertainment practice, DreamWorks said. He was treasurer at Disney and finance chief of Euro Disney.
Montgomery would be reunited with DreamWorks Animation Chief Executive Jeffrey Katzenberg. Both worked at Disney, and Montgomery helped raise $1 billion for DreamWorks SKG, the studio Katzenberg helped start.
The move is part of the Glendale-based animation company’s effort to bolster its board after cutting profit forecasts twice last year.
