2 Get Probation, Fine for Misusing Public Funds

A political consultant and a former college president were each sentenced in federal court Friday to three years’ probation and a $5,000 fine after pleading guilty to misusing public money for a bond measure election.
Consultant Larry Remer and former Southwestern College President Serafin Zasueta were also each ordered to pay $2,945.24 restitution to the college and to perform 100 hours of community service.
