Plantation Rum Guyana Old Reserve 1990
The French have a thing for rum and all over Paris you can find little bars that offer a broad selection of the Caribbean spirit. Rum hasn’t caught on that way here, which is why I think this pot-distilled reserve rum from the French Cognac firm of Pierre Ferrand is worth seeking out. Made in limited quantities and aged 13 years in oak casks, Plantation Rum Guyana is a pale rose gold with a delicate scent. Fine and smooth on the palate, this is a rum for sipping, preferably with a good mystery.
