Current TV, Yahoo team

Current TV, a pioneer in “user-generated content,” has joined with Yahoo Inc. to produce original video content for Web users, it was announced Tuesday.

“Current’s mission has always been to spark a global conversation among young adults,” said former Vice President Al Gore, who is Current TV’s co-founder and chairman. “Partnering with Yahoo helps us advance this mission.”

Yahoo Current Network will provide both viewer and professionally produced content through four channels on subjects such as sports, cars and travel. It is available at www.video.yahoo.com/currenttv.
