Unprofitable article on Moore

JOHN HORN’S piece, “Financially, Moore’s in Great Shape” (June 29), is right out of the Ann Coulter School of Journalism. What happened to debating ideas? What’s wrong with Michael Moore making a living, a lucrative one at that? What’s with the L.A. Times editorial department? Focus on the source of the argument rather than the merits of the argument itself? C’mon Times.

I was expecting it and there it was. A page-dominating story of Michael Moore’s financial success with a small sidebar review of “Sicko.” If the reader is drawn to the expose detailing the crimes of Moore’s success, then he or she is not likely to bother with the positive review.
