The governing board of the Imperial Irrigation District has fired general manager Charles Hosken amid controversy over a natural gas purchasing agreement and the district’s contract to sell water to San Diego, the district announced Thursday.
Hosken told reporters that he would receive six months’ salary as severance.
The 4-1 vote to fire Hosken was taken Wednesday night in closed session. He was hired in 2005 after serving as an executive with a public utility district in Washington state.
