2 critically injured, 5 hurt in bus crash

A bus operated by Foothill Transit and a pickup collided Monday, injuring seven people, two of them critically, authorities said.
The crash occurred just before 10 a.m. at North Ridgeway Street and Academy Avenue.
One victim was in critical condition and flown to a trauma center, Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Ed Lozano said. Another person originally listed in moderate condition was downgraded to critical, county Fire Inspector Ron Haralson said. Five other victims with mild to moderate injuries were taken to hospitals.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
