Musical on ice: It’s a hit TV movie, a quadruple-platinum CD, a touring live concert and a top-selling DVD. Now, “High School Musical” is hitting the ice. “Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour” will open Aug. 31 in Lakeland, Fla., and travel to at least 100 cities in the next year, Disney officials said Tuesday.

Filling in: CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Tuesday became the first in a series of guest hosts who will sit in for Regis Philbin. Philbin, the 75-year-old co-host of “Live With Regis & Kelly,” will miss at least five weeks of his daytime show because of heart surgery.
