Re: “It’s Amazing!” (Oct. 18):
I found the opening line to the Huell Howser piece -- “L.A. loves to hate Huell Howser. . .” -- to be crass and entirely inaccurate. Ninety-nine percent of any Howser parody I’ve heard is done with admiration and awe.
Howser is a gift to this city. It’s sad that California’s biggest newspaper treated one of California’s greatest assets so rudely.
