Los Angeles County police arrested a man and woman in the parking lot of the urgent care center at Martin Luther King Jr.-Harbor Hospital on Sunday morning on felony weapons charges.
Officers were investigating a 1998 white Yukon when a 22-year-old woman approached and said she owned the car, said Assistant Chief Steve Lieber.
While talking to the woman, officers saw the butt of an assault rifle poking out from under a blue sheet inside the car.
The woman and a 24-year-old male companion were arrested.
