Activision buys Bizarre Creations

Activision Inc., maker of the “Guitar Hero” video games, has bought Britain-based developer Bizarre Creations to add car-racing titles. Terms weren’t disclosed.
Bizarre will release its first title under the deal after the 2009 fiscal year, Santa Monica-based Activision said.
Activision’s expansion into racing games is part of its efforts to attract more casual players through less complicated games.
