It’s a circus over there

Zany music and dog tricks, clowns and death-defying acrobats: The Hollywood Bowl’s summer season ends with a family-friendly “Big Top Bowl” circus extravaganza, sponsored by Autry National Center and Radio Disney. The spectacular Peking Acrobats head the bill with mind-bending feats of balance (“Bicycle Pagoda,” “Human Pyramid”), tumbling, contortion and juggling. The opening act goes to the dogs when Bob Moore and His Amazing Mongrels perform, followed by musical group the Ditty Bops. Preshow activities include local kids’ music favorite Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang and circus-inspired melodies with Quazar and the Bamboozled. Also: clowns, juggling, mini-train rides and face painting.
“Big Top Bowl,” Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood. 6:30 p.m. Sunday; preshow activities at 4:30 p.m. on the Bowl’s Museum Patio Stage. $7 to $111. (213) 480-3232. www.hollywoodbowl.com
