Zack Greinke’s streak ends, but Royals win

at Kansas City 6, Detroit 1: Zack Greinke struck out 10 in his second straight complete game, shrugging off the end of his scoreless streak at 38 innings. Greinke, who gave up an unearned run in the fifth inning, ended last season with 14 consecutive scoreless innings and opened this year with 24.
Texas 5, at Baltimore 4: Michael Young hit a two-out, two-run homer off George Sherrill in the ninth inning.
Toronto 14, at Chicago 0: Adam Lind hit three doubles, Aaron Hill drove in three runs and the Blue Jays piled up 21 hits in winds gusting up to 30 mph.
Minnesota 5, at Cleveland 1: Justin Morneau homered and Nick Blackburn pitched seven solid innings for the Twins.
Tampa Bay 8, at Oakland 2: Carlos Pena hit a pair of home runs and Scott Kazmir (3-1) gave up two hits over six innings, retiring the last 11 batters he faced.
Seattle 8, at Angels 3: Shane Loux couldn’t get an out in the fifth inning.
