MUSIC CITY
KENTUCKY (7-5) VS. CLEMSON (8-5)
* Kickoff: 5:30 p.m., LP Field, Nashville.
* TV: ESPN.
* About Kentucky: The Wildcats will need to be sharp on offense because their defense is vulnerable. Kentucky has won three straight bowl games. The streak started with a 28-20 victory over Clemson in this bowl in 2006.
* About Clemson: Versatile running back and ACC player of the year C.J. Spiller leads the Tigers on offense. Clemson, which lost to Georgia Tech in the ACC Championship, is looking to end a four-game losing streak in bowls.
* Bowl records: Kentucky, 8-5; Clemson, 15-16.
* Previous meetings: Kentucky leads the series 8-4.
* Worth noting: This has the makings of a high-scoring game since neither defense has been stellar. Spiller finished sixth in the Heisman Trophy voting. Clemson is favored, but the SEC dominated the ACC in regular-season play.
* Prediction: Kentucky 30, Clemson 27.
