One man was fatally shot and another wounded Sunday night near the Compton Airport, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials.
Both victims were discovered in the 1000 block of South Tajauta Avenue about 7:40 p.m. They were taken to a nearby hospital, where one man was declared dead, Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Spencer said.
The victims had not yet been identified.
