A British Columbia man who pleaded guilty to strangling and then decapitating his 2-year-old daughter was sentenced to life in prison.
Lakhvinder Singh Kahlon, 48, had confessed to second-degree murder in the death of his daughter, Rajvinder, in January 2008.
A psychiatrist testified that Kahlon was severely depressed before the slaying.
