Twelve people were arrested in connection with the deaths of 84 children who took a teething syrup laced with a chemical found in antifreeze, Nigerian health officials said.
Five of the suspects ran Barewa Pharmaceuticals and the others worked for the supplier of the chemical, officials said. The tainted My Pikin Baby Teething Mixture hit store shelves in mid-November.
