Investigators were seeking clues in the fatal shooting Wednesday of a 20-year-old woman on Imperial Highway, a few blocks west of the Harbor Freeway.
The woman was walking about 12:45 p.m. when an assailant approached her, fired at least one shot, then jumped into a white van and fled, said Los Angeles Police Officer Jason Lee.
No further details on the victim or suspects were immediately available. Coroner’s investigators remained at the scene Wednesday evening.
