Update: Both teams are in down cycles. USC has lost three consecutive games, all on the road. Washington State has lost four of five. The Cougars give up 58 points a game, the fewest among Pac-10 teams, and opposing teams shoot only 42% against them. “There aren’t a lot of points when you play them,” USC Coach Tim Floyd said. “They pack it in real good.” The Trojans have lost nine of their last 12 games against the Cougars. “Outside of UCLA, no team has given us more trouble than Washington State,” Floyd said.
