Nissan Motor Co. is chopping its California-based vehicle planning team to nine positions from 19, possibly paring its ability to create models for the U.S.
Nissan’s cutback of the Los Angeles group, which conceives cars and trucks that may not reach dealers for more than a decade, makes developing new models more difficult, said analyst Ed Kim of AutoPacific.
