There is no doubt that the community in and around Camp Pendleton will benefit from the 64 new structures to be built on the base. However, with each new building, the natural habitat of Camp Pendleton becomes smaller and smaller.
The flora and fauna of Camp Pendleton -- some threatened, some endangered -- deserve careful consideration as each new structure is planned and built.
