A man was charged with murder Tuesday in connection with a fatal shooting at a Studio City party, the district attorney’s office announced.
Gilbert Llewelyn McDonald, 34, of Los Angeles was charged in Van Nuys Superior Court with one count of murder in the death of Felix Le- vern Lang.
Prosecutors said the shooting occurred early New Year’s Day after a party attended by about 200 people. They said a dispute broke out between McDonald and Lang and allege that McDonald followed Lang out of the party house and shot him three times. Lang died at the scene.
McDonald pleaded not guilty Tuesday and was being held in lieu of $2-million bail.
If convicted, McDonald would face a maximum state prison term of 50 years to life, prosecutors said.
